Sewing 101 Bundle, (Sandra Hunt, Instructor)

Sewing 101 is a skills class. Each session will focus on a different skill. These are not a project classes, but learning will be hands on for the participant. 

101.1: Know Your Machine. - This class will focus on understanding your machine and how it works. Skills covered will be threading the machine, how the bobbin works, straight stitch, zigzag stitch, stitch length and width, seam guides, needle positions, changing the needle, etc. 

101.2: Fabrics, Threads and Needles and Notions - This class will focus on different fabrics, and their uses. We will also cover the best combination of fabric, thread, and needles to sew with as well as other useful notions. We will creat samples using  different combinations of fabric, thread, and needles. 

101.3 Reading and Cutting a Pattern - We will cover sewing terminology, different types of patterns, how to prepare your pattern for cutting, preparing your fabric for cutting, laying out your pattern for cutting, & cutting tools.   

101.4: - Reading a Pattern for Construction - This class will cover basic terms used in reading a pattern for construction of a project.  

Pricing

Bundle Option - The class bundle includes all 4 session of skill classes plus two sessions of a  project classes (Project classes are designed for practice of the skills learned in our skills classes by creating a project of your choice. Please go to the Project Class to see the available times and a full description.) The class bundle is $150. 

Individual Class Option -  You may purchase each class separately choosing only the topics you think you need. Each class is $30.
