< Sewing the Word – Something To Smock About

Sewing the Word

Hello and welcome. I am so glad you found your way to [my blog] this blog page. Let me tell you just a bit about what I hope you will find here, but first let me tell you a little about me.

I’m Sandra, [remove the]the owner [and founder] of Something to Smock About. At the time of [this writing]me writing this, I have been married to my husband Randy for 37 years. We have seven children, four children by marriage[four married], and five grandchildren. My grandchildren are my inspiration. They are my "Something to Smock About." I love to talk about them and If you give me half a chance, I will fill your ears full taking about them.

Another thing I love to talk about is God and the relationship I have with Him through His Son Jesus. I love the Bible because it reveals who God is and then helps me to better understand who He made me to be. Just like I love teaching others what I have learned about smocking and sewing, I love teaching others what I have learned about God through His Word.

So this is a page I wanted to start for those who may be interested in what I’m learning about God through the Bible and how it applies to my or our daily living. Just like sewing fabrics and laces, I do not claim to be an expert, but I am a learner, and I invite you to learn with me.

I plan to post devotional thoughts and Biblical truths here periodically. If you too have a relationship with God through Jesus, I hope through this you will find encouragement as you sew into the Kingdom of God.  If you do not know God through Jesus, I hope these devotions help you get know Him.

Again, I am so glad you clicked on this page.  I look forward to sharing this time with you.
